when it comes to pulls pranks i think that this one takes the cake. Jose Barrientos decided to speak in a mexican accent during his public-speaking class and record himself during the presentation that he just has an american accent. He did four speeches. In one of the speeches he brings and object that best describes him which was a pinata, the second he taalks about his idol, David Hasselholf. In the thirdspeech he talks about Cinco de Mayo, and in the fourth speech he reveals that he doesnt have a mexican accent. The class was shocked. he ended his speech with "We have to learn to communicate effectively, people, because if we don't, we will all be lost in translation."

 One girl begged him to go back to the fake accent because it freaked her out. I think this prank is hilarious. More people should have a sense of humor like this guy.

Dogs are always fun to have. we loved these for legged creatures like our own. Since it is Thanksgiving, tis the time to be thankful, i want to take the time to appreciate what the media has done for rescue animals (especially dogs). Famous celebrities who set up foundations for these dogs all around the world. Its because of them that all of these dogs are being adopted, are given a second chance for a good life, and we should thank them for giving so much effort toward a good cause.


An example would be Katherine Heigl.  She plays the role of Dr  Stevens on the  show Grey's Anatomy, formed a foundation to help support rescue dogs and other animals. Her foundation, named the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, after her late brother, recently flew twenty-five Chihuahuas from the over-crowded Kinder Rescue in California to the Humane Society of Greater Nashua of New Hampshire. 

I feel like these animals would not get all of this attention if celebrities and the media didn't step in and offer as much as they do. Sometimes the media can be bad, but when you want something important to travel fast, and the media is perfect for that.

 It has been 13 years since the shooting at Columbine High School, and Dylan Klebold's parents finally speak out about the shooting.

I dont think any mother would want her child to kill himself, let alone die in general. But dylans mother did, she would rather him kill himself rather than being put in jail and then have him be executed. She said it would be like losing him twice. It sounds horrible but she would rather have him kill himself then have him kill or hurt anyone else.

 "I thought that if this was really happening and he survived, he would go into the criminal justice system and be executed, and I really couldn't bear to lose him twice. I gave the hardest prayer I ever made, that he would kill himself, because then at least I would know he wanted to die and wouldn't be left with all the questions I'd have if he got caught by a police bullet. It must be hard to be in Sue Klebolds shoes, know that her son was responsible for all of those deaths, and for her own son to die at such a young age.

Who knew that star Sarah Hyland has been in chronic pain for years. We all see her as that typical teen who is constantly on her phone, thinks her parents are embarrassing, and makes fun of her younger siblings. But behind the scenes she is constantly battling kidney disease. She does an amazing job with hiding her pain when filming.
I am so happy for her that her father was a perfect match and was able to give her one of his kidneys. We never know what people are going  through. Most of us think that the lives of actors and actresses must be perfect but they are human beings with issues and battles just like us. It's crazy  to think about.

It Seems as if Kim is not dressing as her usual self. Normally during the week she is in tight fitting dresses and high heals, but these days she is has been wearing flat sandals and maxi dresses. Could she be pregnant? Or could she just want to be comfortable? She has made it clear that she wants kids with Kanye West in the next year but there was no clear time frame on when it was going to start.

No matter if she is pregnant or not I think that people should get off of her back. She's human and she should be able to gain some weight and wear whatever she wants. People leave the house everyday in sweats and no make up, but they dont get chewed out for it. We need to remember how hard it must be for them and how much pressure that they must be under. The media has made it where a heavier set woman is considered not as desirable as a skinny girl. It"s sad, but there is nothing we can do about it.

I choose this clip because the media uses Sofia Vergara on what i think might be the depiction of a modern day gold digger. In the show modern family, she is married to an older gentlemen and of course he has a lot of money. she might not have married him for his money, maybe it was actually that brought them together but we don't know these days. Normally when we see an older man and a younger woman, we automatically think "gold digger" because thetas what society has made us believe.
I think that society and the media have a huge influence on how we think and what we think is right. I mean, there are some instances where we will all be like "wow, she is so stupid, what does she see in him?" but we cant say anything because its not our place.

Fun With Cam

I found this clip on YouTube. I think Modern Family does a great job at portraying the idea of same sex marriage in a very positive and humorous way. Everyone i know including myself finds that Cameron is the funniest character on the show, and I don't think it would be as big of a hit if his character didn't exist. The show is so popular because it deals with everyday situations, and its hilarious because we've all been in these situations before. We can at least relate to one of the characters in this show.

I believe that if the media portrayed same sex marriage like they do on Modern Family, people would not have such a negative view on the life style. In my opinion it shouldn't matter, our one destination in life should be happiness. So why should it matter, nothing should get in the way of happiness.

this article is about a man named Kenneth Krause, who sent an infamous, hurtful email to Jennifer Livingston, an anchor in Wisconsin. He thinks that she is overweight, and that she is setting a bad example for young adults, especially young girls today. She fights back and argues that the fact that she is overweight is because she has a thyroid condition, which makes it difficult fir her to loose weight. she talks about how she works out regularly, and how shes more than just numbers on a scale.

"This was a personal attack," Livingston said.  "Calling me obese is one thing.  Calling me a bad role model for our community that I've worked at for 15 years and especially for young girls when I have three girls was a low blow and I thought it was uncalled for and I wanted to call him out on it." -Livingston

I think that there is too much pressure on women to be absolutely perfect. When something isn't  "right:" about someone in the media, they are attacked, embarrassed, and are forced to change and alter who they really are. Everyone is different, everyone knows that, and still the media wants people perfect. The perfect height, the perfect weight, perfect breast size. How do they determine perfect? I don't think there are guidelines and laws telling us what is the ideal "perfect", so why do we conform.

Brian banks was supposed to be an all american line backer at USC and to go into the NFL, but instead he spent 5 years in jail because he was falsy accused of rape at the age of 16. not only did he have to spend 5 years of his life in prison but he also had to be on probation for 5 years. now he gets to follow his dreams and pursue a career playing professional football and is going to play with the las vegas locos of the united football league. after this the Kansas City Chiefs San Diego Chargers, Washington Redskins and Seattle Seahawks, whose head coach, Pete Carroll, had received a verbal commitment to USC from Banks a decade before. 

"I didn't even know if I was going to have a number, a jersey…I didn't know what to expect when I first got here," Banks said. "I got to my locker and saw there was a jersey in it — number 43. And I just wanted to take a picture of it just for myself. It's just amazing to see my name on the back of it. It's an honor to be taken serious and to be given this opportunity." -Banks

Even though he went through a lot, he never gave up on what he believed in. He worked hard and now he's going places, he's doing what he needs to do to be happy in life.

Hollister models were fired after make fun and making racist comments about Asians. the "life guard" models got into trouble for some racist photos and how they were acting at a recent store-opening in Yeouido, South Korea. 
The models got into trouble for making "slanty eyes" while taking pictures at a local tourist attraction, Royal Gueongbokkung Palace and one put these pictures on his twitter account. there was another model who put up his middle finger while taking pictures with the locals. this behavior was then reported on the blog called the Koreabang. 
After reading this, a lot of people were offended and returned the merchandise back to Hollister. i really don't blame them, why would they buy the merchandise from workers who were disrespecting their culture. the models who work at that Hollister should be more respectful to the people who are living in that country. People should be more considerate of other peoples cultures.

 Wade Michael Page was open about his neo-Nazi views when he served in the U.S. military from 1992 to 1998. this article talks about how their are a bunch of white supremacists that serve in the military, and how the people of higher rank just over look and ignore it. they need as many soldiers as they can get so they ignore all of the Neo-Nazis, Gang Members, and Criminals to Fight the War on Terror. Page thought that it was okay because of the war on terror. Page had different tattoos on his body and they made it pretty clear that he was a white supremacists. one symbolizes 14 words which was penned by a now-deceased right-wing terrorist by the name of David Lane, who was active in the 1980s, was part of a underground terrorist cell called the Silent Brotherhood. He had a German soldier tattoo on one of his calves and a Celtic cross, which is also a prominent symbol used by white supremacists as a tattoo, as well as an insignia on other things.
i think that the military should be stricter with who they let into the service. i feel like it just gives people like Page more opportunities to kill innocent people based on the color of their skin. the military should be very strict in their selection process.
